The “pass” with top marks awarded by the PRI recognises what has always characterised Etica Sgr, that is:

  • the application of ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria to all investment strategies and all asset classes that make up the portfolio,
  • the selection of stocks in which the funds invest carried out by a dedicated team of ESG analysts,
  • the promotion of socially responsible investments with national and international bodies and institutions,
  • the continual performance of engagement activities with the companies in which the funds invest.

We are very proud of the result achieved, above all because Etica Sgr has had responsible finance in its DNA since it was founded: all the funds of the range comply with the ESG criteria and count on a rigorous process of stock selection and of engagement with businesses and certified in accordance with the requirements of the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Numerous studies have demonstrated that sustainable and responsible investment is capable of generating competitive performance with respect to the market. And in periods of great volatility, it makes it possible to mitigate financial risk.

The Principles for Responsible Investment

The  PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment) is an initiative of the United Nations developed to promote the incorporation of ESG principles into traditional asset management and into investment decisions and also to contribute actively to the development of a more sustainable global financial system. The 6 principles which the signatories must apply provide for the duty, on the part of institutional investors, to act in the long-term interest of their beneficiaries, considering also ESG issues that can have a significant impact on performance of the portfolio.

The PRI has more than 2000 signatories all over the world, between asset owners and asset managers, representing approximately 80 trillion dollars of managed assets.
