Etica’s engagement and shareholder activism guidelines

Stewardship is a sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) strategy that Etica considers fundamental and has always practiced. Stewardship activities consist of engaging in dialogue with company management, exercising voting rights associated with equity holdings in investee companies, and advocating with regulators and standard setters. The objective is to encourage sustainable and responsible behaviors over the medium to long term.

The Stewardship Policy defines and regulates the stewardship strategies adopted by Etica Funds in relation to the financial instruments held by the UCIs (Undertakings for Collective Investment) established and/or managed, including under delegation, by Etica. Its purpose is to ensure that these activities are carried out exclusively in the best interest of the fund subscribers, with the aim of increasing the value of investments over time through a policy inspired by principles of social and environmental responsibility.
