ELI LILLY | 2007

Etica SGR voted in the shareholders’ meeting of this large American pharmaceutical company held on April 16, 2007. With about 80,000 shares, Etica SGR voted for three shareholder resolutions proposed by minority shareholders: Peta (association for animal rights), Adrian Dominican Sisters (religious organization part of  ICCR, www.iccr.org) e CalPERS (California retirement fund). Peta asked Eli Lilly an higher disclosure about pharmaceutical testing on animals. ICCR’s nuns proposed a separation between chairman and general manager; CalPERS asked the company to allow modifications to the articles of association by the shareholders.
