Etica Funds signed in 2020 the finance world\u2019s commitment to biodiversity (Finance for Biodiversity Pledge). Etica, at the time of its launch, was the only Italian company<\/strong> among the 26 signatories to the finance world\u2019s commitment to biodiversity<\/strong> (Finance for Biodiversity Pledge<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The finance world\u2019s commitment<\/h2>\n

The Finance for Biodiversity Pledge is a collective document that originated from a group of European financial institutions that actively worked as members of the European Union’s Finance and Biodiversity Community<\/strong> (F@B Community).<\/p>\n

In the document, the financial institutions call on world leaders to reverse the nature loss<\/strong> of the past decade and undertake to collaborate, take action and calculate their own impact<\/strong> on biodiversity<\/strong>, setting specific biodiversity targets by 2024 and reporting appropriately.<\/p>\n

As a signatory to the document, Etica recognises that the Earth’s biosphere, which is under increasing stress, underpins human resilience and progress. As a financial institution, it emphasises the need to protect biodiversity<\/strong> and reverse the loss of natural resources<\/strong> in this decade.<\/p>\n

The Finance for Biodiversity Pledge was launched at the Nature for Life Hub on the sidelines of the 75th United Nations General Assembly.<\/p>\n
