  {"id":17530,"date":"2013-12-10T14:45:32","date_gmt":"2013-12-10T14:45:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eticasgr.com\/?p=17530"},"modified":"2018-11-15T10:20:50","modified_gmt":"2018-11-15T10:20:50","slug":"iccr-initiative-on-human-trafficking-and-slavery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eticasgr.com\/en\/storie\/international-campaigns\/iccr-initiative-on-human-trafficking-and-slavery","title":{"rendered":"ICCR initiative on human trafficking and slavery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Etica Sgr<\/strong>\u00a0has joined a specific awareness-raising campaign promoted by\u00a0<strong>ICCR<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility<\/em>) on the issues of <strong>human trafficking and forced labour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative, launched on 10 December 2013 to coincide with the World Human Rights Day, aims to <strong>encourage companies<\/strong>, particularly those operating in the agri-food and hospitality sectors, to <strong>implement policies and management systems aimed at preventing abuses of human rights<\/strong>, with particular emphasis on the supply chain.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ICCR has prepared a statement, supported by 500 signatories<\/strong>, which describes the issue of human trafficking and its severity (the phenomenon affected approximately 21 million people on a worldwide basis in 2012 \u2013\u00a0<em>ILO data<\/em>). The main international references in this field, such as the\u00a0<em><strong>Universal Declaration of Human Rights<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0of 1948 and the <em><strong>UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0of 2011 are also cited.
